The Wedding Season of 2012 was full of a ton of amazing memories made and moments cherished. One of the greatest joys of my past year was just how many weddings of friends I got to document. Somehow I got delegated as the photographer for a handful of weddings for a group of people I've known for years, which was fine with me! Being surrounded with people that you know and love, while simultaneously documenting the incredible love and commitment that two friends are making, is an indescribable feeling. Mark + Bethany were no exception. Seriously, the overflowing amount of love and joy that they have with each other, all brought together by God's grace. One thing to note about this day: I have never been so freaking hot in my entire life. Seriously, this day was a scorcher in Michigan, nearing 100° for most of the day. I made the incredibly wise decision to do portraits at a nearby Nature Preserve which included dense woods, dirt, swamps, and more. I'm taking this moment to formally apologize to everyone involved, it was miserable in that long, winding, Michigan-Rainforest hell. They all took it like champs though and we made it back to the reception to culminate into one of the best dance parties of the year. Pair that with some MammothBooth! action in the mezzanine, and this party was top-level insane. Nobody would have changed that day for the world. Huge thanks to the ridiculously-talented Abbey Moore for tag-teaming this bad boy with me. It came down to the last minute of me needing a second shooter and she drove all the way across the state to shoot with me just because she saw a tweet I posted. Check out her work if you know what's good for you.
I'm slowly but surely catching up on these 2012 weddings. They meant so much to me, I can't just breeze by them!
